Why Is Soft-Washing Your Roof Better Than Pressure Washing It

Soft washing is a cleaning technique that uses low-pressure water to safely clean roofs and exterior surfaces. This method involves using cleaning solutions that effectively kill mildew, bacteria, algae, mold, grime, moss, dirt, and other microorganisms. Unlike pressure cleaning, it doesn't damage the roof due to the water pressure. Applying high-pressure water directly to your roof can cause the bond or adhesive between the roof material to break, damaging the underlying fabric that protects the interior of your home. Spraying pressurized water can also result in cracks or breaks in the ceramic, cement, or slate tiles.
